The Jubilee

The Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters of the Cross experienced Jubilee celebrations throughout an entire year, a year of renewal, repentance and joy:
- The fiftieth anniversary of the death of the Founder Abouna Yaacoub (26 June 1954 – 26 June 2004).
- The diamond Jubilee of the foundation of the Congregation which is an extension of the material and spiritual life of the Founder and his continued presence in this Congregation. (8 December 1930 – 8 December 2005).
Thus, guided by the Spirit of God the Holy Father, and under the wings of the Lord’s Cross the Redeemer, the occasion has become a motivation for the sisters to renew the offering of their lives to the Lord, while remaining faithful to their founder to serve their brother the most miserable.
This jubilee year is characterized by two major celebrations:

Mass of the opening of the Jubilee
Mass in occasion of the Jubilee’s closure
